Auburn City Council
Thursday - January 15, 2009
6:00PM

Roll – Councilor Graney, McNabb, Smith, Brower and Mayor Quill – Present.

Staff in attendance – Mark Palesh, City Manager; John Rossi, Corporation Counsel; Debra McCormick, City Clerk; Gary Giannotta. Police Chief; Lisa Green, Comptroller; Jenny Haines Planning Director; Gerry DelFavero, Public Works Supervisor; Christine Selvek, Capital Improvements Project Mgr; Crystal Purcell, CDBG Program Manager; Coleen LaMay, Deputy City Clerk.

Mayor Quill led the Pledge of Allegiance and asked for a moment of silent prayer of reflection.

Public to be Heard
        
Glenda Neff, 133 South St., spoke to announce activities that are scheduled at the Booker T. Washington Center to celebrate Martin Luther King’s birthday and the inauguration of President Elect Barak Obama.  

Mary Lou Picciano, 32 Cayuga St. spoke to Council about issues she has with the Auburn Police Department.

Presentations and Proclamations – Lisa Green, Comptroller review the Financial Report for the last six months of 2008.  

City Manager’s Report – None.

Ordinances - None

Resolutions  

Council Resolution #3 of 2009 authorizing a Public Hearing be held on January 22, 2009 to hear comments on the CDBG Grant Action Plan. VOTE: Councilor Graney, McNabb, Smith, Brower, and Mayor Quill, AYE. CARRIED

Budget Resolution #4 of 2009 authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement with the NYS Department of State for repairs and improvements to the Casey Park facility.  VOTE: Councilor Graney, McNabb, Smith, Brower, and Mayor Quill, AYE. CARRIED

Budget Resolution  #5 of 2009 approving a budget amendment to allow the cost and installation of water meters. VOTE: Councilor Graney, McNabb, Smith, Brower, and Mayor Quill, AYE. CARRIED

There were no Local Laws or Tabled Legislation.

Other Business – None.

Council adjourned to executive session at 5:35PM (all vote in favor with the exception of Councilor Smith, who did not enter the meeting until later in the evening).  

Council returned at 8:00PM, adjourning at 8:00PM.
